How we work

A clear scope. A considered process.

We begin with the commercial decision, the legal risk and the outcome required. You should understand the work, the fee basis and what happens next.

From brief to implementation

  1. Understand

We begin with the decision, the legal risk and the outcome you need.

  2. Agree the scope

We set out the work, fee basis, stages, timing and key dependencies.

  3. Advise & document

We connect the legal analysis with the agreements and actions required.

  4. Support implementation

We identify what needs signing, approving or doing next, within the agreed scope.

Fees

The fee model follows the work.

Some matters are predictable enough for a fixed fee. Negotiations, transactions and regulatory issues often need a staged or capped approach.

We identify what is included, what depends on other people and what would require a further scope.

Working together

Your advisers. A coordinated approach.

We identify where tax, accounting, finance, litigation or specialist regulatory input is needed. Where agreed, we coordinate with the client’s advisers and keep responsibilities clear.

How do I get started?

Tell us the matter type, the parties involved and any deadline. We first consider fit, conflicts and capacity, then agree the scope and fee basis.

Do you offer a fixed fee for every matter?

No. Fixed fees are available where scope is sufficiently predictable. Negotiated, transactional and complex matters may be capped or staged.

When will the work be completed?

Timing is agreed when the scope is settled. It depends on the documents, complexity, required inputs and current capacity. Let us know about a deadline at the outset.

What if the scope changes?

We identify the additional work and discuss the scope, fee and timing implications before proceeding with it.

Does an enquiry create an engagement?

No. We must complete our initial checks and agree an engagement before acting. An enquiry does not mean we have accepted responsibility for a deadline.

Start with the decision you need to make.

Tell us about your business, the issue and any deadline. We can then consider the right scope for your matter.
